Severe Weather Notice

The Pasco Board of County Commissioners issued a Local State of Emergency for Pasco County ahead of potential severe weather associated with Potential Tropical Cyclone 4 that’s expected to impact Florida in the upcoming days.

 

Pasco County Emergency Management is closely monitoring the storm and is encouraging you to be prepared for the possibility of strong winds and localized flooding in the next few days as the system makes its way toward Florida.

 

  • Secure loose items around your home & yard: lawn chairs, umbrellas, trash cans, etc.

  • Sign up for Alert Pasco & download the MyPasco App for county updates

  • Monitor our website MyPasco.net and our social media platforms for county updates

 

Pasco County is not issuing evacuation orders at this time; however, if you live along the coast, or in a low-lying area susceptible to flooding, Pasco County will be opening the following shelter for Special Needs and General Population customers Saturday, August 3 at 6 p.m.:

 

 

Pasco County has the following sandbag stations to help protect your property from potential flooding:

 

 

Dade City & New Port Richey are also providing sand to city residents:

 

New Port Richey Garage, 6420 Pine Hill Road, New Port Richey


All sandbag locations are self-serve and open to Pasco County residents. Sand and sandbags will be restocked daily, weather permitting. Please bring a shovel and be prepared to fill your own sandbags.
