Hydrant Repair Notice

At approximately 2:00 PM Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, the City of San Antonio, Department of Public Works, will be doing a repair to the fire hydrant at Main Street and Rhode Island Avenue.

As a result, it will be necessary to shut off a nearby water main for about 8 hours, possibly causing an interruption of residents' water service during that time.

It is not uncommon for sediment to be dislodged from the pipes during this type of maintenance. Once service has been restored, it is advisable that you let the water run free for several minutes before using it to drink, cook, or wash clothes.
